Werewolf really needs a closed mouth/teeth bared alt head! At least we can set him next to our Thunderstrike and Caliban figures. Put them in a bar diorama and it’ll look like they’re arguing over a football game!
That Enchantress looks ‘luxe! But here’s the one I need—Phantom Rider! Such an off-the-wall character. Plus, I see him as a possible base for a custom White Vision…I have the retro card figure but I just wish he wasn’t barefoot!

I totally get what you’re saying. I’ve been cherry picking through waves as the prices have gone up—does anyone remember when Toy Biz MLs were so cheap that we were shocked when they went up to $14.99??—and/or they feature an undesirable BAF. But have you thought about buying the BAF pieces you need online—ebaY is the easiest way—or checking other places like offer up, facebook marketplace, local comic shops?
Hopefully they will do the Miguel’s white suit again

Oh yeah Mafex 2099 is horrible, they treat is as a skin for Peter, when in reality he should be his own character with different body type, and Mafex Spidey was already on too skinny too small side for Peter. Come to think of it even their Daredevil is too skinny.
I can definitely see Hasbro reusing this SM2099 figure with more shiny plastic similar to the original release from Hobgoblin wave.
P.S. these original prototypes really look different from the final figures, I wonder what happened.

And even more importantly, we are finally getting a much-needed update to the RYV body mold; they finally gave this mold well-proportioned, muscular shoulders and arms that don’t have a sunken-in look. I’m not sure how I feel about popping out veins, though, but either way it’s a definite improvement over the original look.
Hopefully, Hasbro will find a way to reuse this mold with new forearms (without 2099 fins) for basic figures and use as new standard body mold. Just imagine how awesome Silver Surfer or Daredevil would look on this.
Saw some folks comparing him to the Mafex. No shade toward folks that prefer the Mafex. But I feel like the Legends has better proportions i.e. is more muscular. It does looks like they made the shoulder a bit bigger. I know some like the darker colors of the Mafex. But I much prefer the brighter colors.

For me I’ve always kind of used the cover attached as my reference for 2099.
I also think about the games like that Shattered Dimensions game where his suit is incredibly vibrant.

Not sure about that….I definitely agree that they like stuff that can be re-used, and frankly I never have a problem with that. It makes sense- as long as they don’t take it too far (see mcfarlane’s stuff for examples). Thor’s got some big boys sure, but hasbo already put out Hyperion, a street Luke Cage, Thanos, Ka-Zar, not to mention the upcoming Gorgon. No reason those can’t be the basis for the likes of Hogun, Fandral, Baldur, etc. Volstagg isnt that hard either (Kingpin, Blob, Frogman, Doc Ock). Besides they eventually will do the Wrecking Crew….again, some pretty solid dudes. Just dont see tooling being an issue here.
