The first official trailer for the upcoming Sofia the First series from Disney Jr. just dropped, and viewers are getting a peek at Sofia’s new journey!
Sofia the First: Royal Magic follows Sofia’s time at the Charmswell School for Royal Magic, where she balances making new friends while honing her powers. The trailer introduces one of Sofia’s new friends, Rapunzel, who says it’s time to master her powers to protect her loved ones and her kingdom.
The new series will premiere on Disney Jr. and Disney Jr. on Demand on May 25, with the first eight episodes launching the next day on Disney+. With each episode, kids will join Sofia on her journey as she learns more about her magical powers, makes new friends like Princess Layla, Princess Camila, and Prince Zane, and meets the castle pets like Pepper the Puppercorn.
While waiting for the show’s release, families can check out the short-form series Sofia the First: Magical Friends on the Disney Jr. YouTube channel. This mini-series introduces this new chapter of Sofia’s story and shows her early days at Charmswell. In the first short below, kids get to meet the castle pets of Charmswell.
