Anyway beside the Deluxe figure having 2 new headsculpts 3 extra hands and a nifty dumbbell accessory, there are some other differences between the two figures. The new Deluxe figure has added paint applications. This is most noticeable with the painted zipper on the shirt as well as the white background on the chest X symbol. The top of the shoulder pads on the new Deluxe figure have also been painted blue as opposed to all silver like seen on the BAF version. It’s hard to say which one is more comic book accurate since the pads where portrayed in the pages of the X-Factor comic multiple ways. I will say I think the paint looks better on the newer figure.
Now whether any of this is enough of a incentive to pay $40 to add it to your collection if you already have the BAF version is not for me to say. That is something you will have to make up your own mind about.

The only thing I feel is that Max Pool could benefit from longer katanas…
They’re not katanas. The Maximum Deadpool figure’s swords are ninjato. They’re straighter and shorter than katanas.

If it makes you feel any better…If you do pick this one up? He does have quite a few upgrades that IMO might make him worth double, triple, or quadruple dipping. I mean I have the 2016 movie Deadpool, the DP & Wolverine Deadpool. But I do not have a comic deadpool. So with Doop being included? Kind of a no brainer for me.
But this Max Deadpool is pinless, has a boot rotation, toe-ticulation, new sculpt, and his guns have paint apps. Even the snaps on his pouches have some paint apps.
One thing that struck me as odd with the JUG BAF Deadpool was how his katanas are vertical on his back rather than crossed. Having more hands will always be nice. I do like the bazooka and boxing glove that old one came with.
The only thing I feel is that Max Pool could benefit from longer katanas and a fully unmasked head. So even if you did pick this one up? I feel like there is a lot of mixing and matching and swapping between you could do. If you do figure photography? It wouldn’t be a stretch to have two Deadpools when there is a Deadpool Corps. Could do Deadpool kills deadpool. So owning multiples is kind of meta.
But that probably isn’t helping. I’ll shut up now.
, you were supposed to be supportive and help me kick my deadpool addiction, but instead you are being an enabler. I’m not probably going to buy it…..My little hand is clutching the mouse, it’s hoovering over add to cart…..I’m getting clicky…..

Grrrrr, that Deadpool, I really don’t want to be so tempted, but I am, I’m just such a sucker for Deadpool, it’s basically just a better version of the Juggernaut wave, so it seems like it would be redundant to get it, since I have that DP, but it also comes with Doop and it looks super good, I just love DP so much, I wish I didn’t but I like can’t help myself, I just never want to admit that he might be one of my favourite looking Superheroes. I know this is going to cost a lot here in Canada as all of the Maximum series has so far, so I feel like a dumbo if I buy it, but let’s see…I really want to exercise will power here.

Pulse upped their prices. $7-$8 more. Easy choice to go with Big Bad. They upped the basic Star Wars figures as well.
So, they did fix it today. I am always dubious about these “accidents” with pricing and if they are gonna charge appropriately when the time come even if you ordered when it was a higher price.
I ended up ordering Deadpool. I guess I’m just a Max line Mark I’m gonna gamble on finding Guido on discount later, although I feel 40 is fair for the figure, I don’t see enough for a second figure. I wish I had some inkling that they were gonna re release him, and I woulda waited for this one considering I got 4 figures I barely wanted to build him. Which is usually past my threshold for a baf. But he was really high on my “needs” list.

The Deadpool looks like an update but not sure if it’s 50 bucks is worth it to me. I think if you still have the one from the Juggernaut wave you’re good. I know I am good with just that one. The Strong Guy seems like an upgrade but I won’t get it most likely. This seems to be the year of re-releases only. This is good for those who missed out but it’s a missed opportunity from Hasbro to have given us a deluxe that is never before made- like Forearms.
alright… I’ve seen the stuff about how tooling capacity is a challenge when it comes to completely pin less figures. That they can make less figures or let some be pinned. But if you’re going to do an update… don’t make the updated figure have pins, that by the very nature of it defeats the point. #LookinAtYouStrongGuy
Definitely will pre-order Deadpool I was really waiting for a good one and I didn’t buy any version of him until now I guess
