Barbie is galloping back to kids’ screens this fall! Outright Games and Mattel are releasing a new video game that brings Barbie’s whimsy out West.
Barbie Horse Trails is a single-player game that takes kids on a journey through Canterbury Trails Park, an open-world landscape full of exciting adventures. Together with their horse friend Lucky, players will explore the immersive scenes, unlocking characters, mysteries, and in-game challenges along the way. From discovering wildlife to expressing personal style, the open-ended adventure encourages little riders to take the reins and let their creativity roam free. The video game will launch on consoles and PC on Oct. 10.
In the game, kids will saddle up as one of the Barbies and join the Junior Rangers on their mission to refresh and beautify Canterbury Trails Park. As they trot through the park, little riders will learn about its history and wildlife, from documenting nature with a camera to unearthing ancient treasures and a centuries-old mystery. In between, players can groom, feed, and bond with Lucky, as well as personalize her with all the colorful riding gear they’ve collected during their adventure.
Ready to ride? Barbie Horse Trails will be available for families to play on the Nintendo Switch, Xbox, PlayStation, and PC starting Oct. 10. For more information, families can visit mattel.com.
