Toy Insider Senior Editor/Toy Book Editor-in-Chief James Zahn joined NBC Chicago live from the fifth floor of Macy’s on State Street to discuss toy trends from the heart of Toys “R” Us at Macy’s.
Despite concerns on how tariffs may impact pricing and availability for toys and games this holiday season, toymakers and retailers have worked hard to deliver a lot of bang for the buck, including early Black Friday savings on top toys.
For Toys “R” Us, this is the biggest year since 2017, with a Toys “R” Us in more than 400 Macy’s stores across the U.S., plus around 20 standalone flagship stores and 30 seasonal pop-ups created in partnership with Go! Retail Group. Additionally, Toys “R” Us stores are now open at seven military bases in partnership with NEXCOM, and travelers making their way through Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport can grab last-minute gifts at the first Toys “R” Us airport store.
