Were there any issues with Maximum Spidey(I never got him)?
Not yet *knock on wood*.I managed to extract the peg but cracking the pelvis is proving to be..difficult. I will probably have to use a bit of green stuff and touch up some paint if/when I do get it opened.
Maximum Spidey is fine, because from what I remember despite diamond shape pegs it didn’t have knobs like Battle damaged Spidey, however it’s also can be related to plastic processing methods sometimes its more fragile and sometimes despite stress plastic just tends to endure.

Just had my Tom Holland Spidey leg snap. So I think from now on any Spider-Man figure that has drop-down hips? I’m popping the legs off and sanding that ball peg down smooth. I have to extract the peg from the one leg and then somehow crack the pelvis to replace the drop-down joint.

Yes for sure, I learned my lesson on too many needlessly broken action figures so nowI always use hairdryer and silicone shock/gun oil with careful and strategic considerations.

I’ve had this Doom on preorder, and got him for 24.95. But looking at him this long, I’m really debating canceling him. Just a lazy job, if you’ve read the comic. He should be quite a bit different than a slight repaint with a cape. They coulda just tweaked a few things here and there without making a whole new sculpt, and it woulda been a lot.better, but they didn’t. I love the idea of this though.

Looks like you definitely know all the issues with this Spidey. I was about to say to be careful with it, especially with the hips, or will end up with a truly battle damaged Spidey

I did manage to get Spidey and MJ for 20-25 thanks to these MTG fans and I do like Battle Damaged Spidey a lot, it’s 98 percent brand new sculpt aside from one shoulder and maybe feet. The figure even has some okay paint, but more paint would put it on another level because there are so many hidden damage details that are sadly lost due to lack of paint.
However, Hasbro really fumbled it on a technical level. The new joints are horrible, the head ball is frozen, and you need to Dremel with the thinnest drill and risk figure damage just to free it and funniest thing is that RYV ball joint for the head wasn’t too good in the first place. The leg ball joints are not even balls but weird diamond shapes that also increase damage risk, so I really needed to shave them down and smooth them so they resemble a more ball-like shape that makes movement smoother.
While at it, I also drilled a hole above the shoulder peg into the butterfly joint in order to make his shoulders sit higher and flush with the clavicle.

I knew….I Knew! That this would be the figure that would go down in price. But I pre ordered him anyway. So dumb. My life woulda been no different if I had just ordered him now for 30.
To be fair? The card is being listed on e-bay for $17-30. So even if you had bought it at $40 and didn’t want the card? You likely could have sold the card to offset the cost. But some people don’t want to bother with having to sell a card and I get that.
At any rate? You could still sell that card if you still haven’t. If you don’t want it? I’d say sell it off and recoup some of your money. You do that, and the price might even be less than $30 in the end.
