The new year means new ways to play! With Hasbro‘s updated Transformers and NERF product lines, families will have several battle-ready options for playtime.

There are three NERF toys hitting shelves this month, including the NERF Shadowspeed Knight Sword. Kids (and kids at heart) can channel their inner blade-slinging swordmaster with the softness and security of a foam blade and hilt. The carved details on the blade add an elevated, regal touch to the sword, making it extra special for kids. This sword is ideal for kids ages 6 and up to try roleplaying both indoors and outdoors, and will be available at Walmart and other major retailers.

Two items are joining NERF‘s Super Soaker line: the NERF Super Soaker Stomp & Soak and NERF Super Soaker Hop & Chomp water toys, available now. The Super Soaker Stomp & Soak is designed for kids ages 4 and up, featuring a jellyfish that, once launched into the air with the launch pad, sprays streams of water from the top of its bell. Its tentacles will also send water flying. Just connect the launch pad to a working hose and let the Super Soaker Stomp & Soak do the rest!

The NERF Super Soaker Hop & Chomp, for kids ages 3 and up, features a shark sprinkler that sprays two jets of water from its jaws while chomping to randomize the bursts. There’s also a switch that allows the streams to rotate, adjusting the direction of the water. Kids can run through the streams or try to jump around to avoid getting splashed, keeping active while keeping cool on a warm day.

Hasbro is also expanding its Transformers roster with two new lines: Transformers Smash Changers and Transformers Prime Changers. The Transformers Smash Changers line encourages kids to change their toy from beast to robot form by smashing it on a flat surface, then rebuilding it in just a few steps. The Prime Changers line encourages rebuilding, minus the smashing, and adds additional accessories for more posing and imaginative play opportunities. These two lines feature fan-favorites like Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Megatron.

Finally, there are new additions to the Transformers Swapticons collection! The Swapticons, designed for kids ages 5 and up, are a line of mini action figures that can swap parts to change their forms. Kids can twist the parts of and swap them with other figures in the line to create unique combinations. The line is growing with the additions of three new sets: the Blackarachnia and Predacon Tarantula set, the Terrorsaur and Lazorbeak set, and a 5-pack Dino Mission set. Each set will be sold separately and exclusively at Walmart.
