Make space in your little library — new Sesame Street books are on the way!

Chronicle Books and Sesame Workshop are collaborating on a new series of Sesame Street-themed children’s books. As part of a multi-year program, Chronicle Books will release several picture and character-cut board books featuring beloved figures from the show.

The first book, The Momster at the End of This Book, will be available on April 7. Little readers can celebrate their mothers alongside Grover and other little monsters in this reimagined story. The new program will also feature stories inspired by social media moments, such as Elmo’s inquisitive post on X in January 2024. Elmo Checks In: How Is Everybody Doing?, available on Oct. 27, showcases comforting insight and reassurance from the caring character.

The publishing house will release two die-cut board books next year. Readers can expect an Elmo-shaped book in the summer and an Abby Cadabby-shaped board book in the fall. Both books will include seek-and-find features, additional Sesame Street characters, and early learning concepts.

While the first book won’t be available for storytime until spring, little readers can keep themselves busy with other titles from Chronicle Books. To learn more, visit chroniclebooks.com.
