Or literally any female legends figure that still uses the outdated shriek buck sans ab crunch when they have the Psylocke buck now.
Psylocke buck has constraint due to sculpted belt and other sculpt details, that mold can only be reused for other Psylocke or Elektra, and even then they would need to remove her belt sculpt. But yeah Psylocke could be the base for new moonstone replacement if Hasbro ever decided to make bare version of that.

Man, it’s so about that Nick Fury for me, that’s a gem, Frank is great too, but if they both were Single packed I’d maybe pass on Frank, but I do love it, that gray/blue is very cool, and It’s different enough from the other Punishers I have, Also this game is a favorite of mine, I still play it pretty often, so this pack just hits. I really though just adore that Fury, I mean for the longest time this was just in my head as definitive Fury.
also weird lil thing….2Pac as Bishop? what’s this crossover? I didn’t know I needed.
I recently played through the game in that MvC Compilation. It was a fun time!I kind of like how he has this blue look, and that would kind of complement Blue Venom. I still would want a classic black and white Punisher like that War Journal one. But I really didn’t want to buy a 2-pack with Bushwhacker that I don’t give a rat’s *** about.

The head sculpts on these guys are incredible. Just really well done.
How do we get heads like this, and then Phoenix Jean Grey looks just awful?
But overall, Hasbro has been killing head sculpts lately, particularly in Legends and Black Series.
That is one area where I would agree Hasbro has been doing well. The face printing tech has in general been pretty great. That Logan Headsculpt from the DP&Wolverine film I feel matches up pretty favorably to the Mafex.

which was part of a SDCC set and nowhere else. Even then Marvel has had a strict and I mean strict no smoking policy on their merchandise. It’s the reason wolverine has stopped smoking.
That is what customs/Customizing are for! Grid Iron studios sells all manner of accessories for 1/12 scale. I bought a wired whip for Indy there. Came with a torch and such too. It is a bit pricey, but at $17 if you really want a cigar for Fury? You can get that and a smoke effect and a whole box of “stogies” as Uncle Lewis would call them.

Speaking of Punisher, it’s probably matter time (1-2 years) before we get classic version of him on Secret Wars card, but the skull design from og figure had goofy eyes so I can see people being disappointed in that version.
I’d like a classic black and white Punisher on a retro card so I don’t have to pay for a Bushwhacker.

It does often feel like Hasbro does “not quite right” figures to incentivize people to pick up an improved version later, but…… do you really think they’re going to sell asecondversion of Capcom 1993 Punisher? lmao
I think in actuality a lot of, if not most “not quite right” features are genuinely just weird flubs/poor attention to detail, but in this case I think it’s more likely a budget constraint (“do we want to spend the money to make a single-wide-band leg holster mold that we’re going to use only one time, or do we want to make a double-normal-band leg holster mold that we’re almost certainly going to use multiple more times on other Punishers and other characters, and just make up the difference on this figure with a paint app”).
Like Maximum Spidey being dark (so they can sell a lighter version later).
Or a Maximum Hulk with a lot of reuse and a rubber overlay that is starting to tear for some folks, so they can sell you a gamerverse Hulk later. (Which I won’t lie…I’d buy a gamerverse Hulk…if it was like the Juggernaut.Or a battle damaged Spidey with no neck articulation versus using the new Maximum Spidey buck.Or literally any female legends figure that still uses the outdated shriek buck sans ab crunch when they have the Psylocke buck now.

Hasbro, purposly do things wrong to not to give us “definetive” versions of the characters. This was a nice Punisher option, but they did wrong the aplication on the leg, so later they can sell it again without that mistake. Yes is a mistake because in the videogame is an actual single thicker belt. Why tha F they paint in such horrible way? Anyways, easy pass!
