
The film is still streaming on Starz in the U.S. and is expected to leave that service on April 14, just before its Disney+ debut. The film is already available on Disney+ in several other countries, including parts of Europe and Japan.
Unlike most Marvel Studios films, Sony Pictures holds the film rights and handles distribution for the standalone Spider-Man movies. Previous deals prioritized other “pay-one” windows for services like Starz and Netflix before the movies could move to Disney-owned platforms.
This release is timed alongside growing buzz for the upcoming sequel, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which is slated for a theatrical release on July 31.
