Today was Eva’s High School Graduation. It was a wonderful celebration. We started off with the Baccalaureate Mass. That was from about 10:00 – 1:00 or so. Very long celebration but was really nice. Eva got to see many of her teachers afterwards and each one said some wonderful things to her. Her first year chem teacher is actually a woman who was a year ahead of me at Feehan.
After the Mass we went to the Doran Center for Eva’s Senior Art show. Eva had some lovely peicves up to show. There was one piece missing and it was dead center of her display. We are not sure what happened to it either. Hopefully it will turn up.
After the art show Mem and Grandfather went back to the Blackinton and we headed to SMSH so Eva would do a walk through to visit with her grade school teachers. We went home and I crashed out with a nap.
For the graduation we had purchased a bunch of plastic ponchos because there was a chance of rain and we did not want to take the chance of being soaked while watching. Luckily the rain only came down a little bit. I did keep my poncho on the whole time to make sure that the rain did not come back. We were treated to multiple rainbows, though.
The graduation ceremony was a nice one. It all went very smoothly. After the ceremony we went onto the field and took several pictures. We even found Fr. Dave and had a photo with him, too.
We are so proud of our high school graduate. On to bigger and better but lucky to have the Feehan foundation.
