Kids Can Animate Their Imaginations with the LEGO Group’s Latest Challenge

Kids can get their creative juices flowing in stop-motion with the latest surprise from the LEGO Group. By partnering with Aardman Animation, the studio responsible for the Wallace & Gromit franchise, the LEGO Group will spark creativity in all families with a new creative challenge.

Little ones can become the writer, animator, and director of their own stories with a challenge that blends LEGO bricks and Aardman’s stop motion storytelling. To announce the challenge, the brands launched an animated short featuring an alien named Boop who finds themselves in a world made of LEGO bricks. Aardman also has five mini stop motion challenge shorts set to release monthly.

For this creative challenge, kids continue Boop’s story by using the LEGO Play app to make their own animations. With the app’s animation tool, users can make and share their projects for a chance to have their creations featured in an Aardman story. Families can also find inspiration by watching Director Magda Osinska’s video workshop on LEGO.comas well as video tutorials from fan creators and influencers.

If little ones want to join the challenge, they’ll need to join the LEGO Insider Club to share their creations. With this membership, kids can access exclusive content, personalize their avatars, and share their best builds. To learn more about the LEGO Insiders Club, visit LEGO.com/insiders
