Playtime is going prehistoric. Bandai Namco is hatching a new set of Tamagotchi pets and shells filled with digital dinos inspired by the film Jurassic World Rebirth.
With these new devices, kids ages 8 and up can raise, nurture, and play with their own virtual dinosaur. Kids can keep their prehistoric pet happy by feeding it the right foods — leaves and nuts for herbivores, or fish and meat for carnivore cuties — and playing minigames like Which One?, Escape, and Catch Food! As kids care for it, the creature can evolve into more than 20 different species, including three new dinos from the movie!
The Tamagotchi Nanos are available in two styles. The Mosasaurus design features a clear blue shell inspired by the dinosaur’s aquatic domain. For a fiercer friend, kids can collect the Spinosaurus shell, which features the predator’s iconic spines and sharp fangs. The Cretaceous cuteness doesn’t stop there! As kids play, they’ll also unlock iconic scenes from throughout the Jurassic Park series and new animations from Jurassic World Rebirth — now that’s dino-mite!
