The 17th annual Peepsfest is returning to SteelStacks! Families in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, can participate in themed activities and entertainment, then watch the signature 400-pound Peeps Chick Drop later this month.
Hosted by Just Born Quality Confections and ArtsQuest, the New Year celebration runs from 3:00-6:00 p.m. EST on Dec. 30 and 31. Families can enjoy a wide range of programming, including live performances, games, crafts, and character appearances.
Activity zones hosted by local partners, such as PBS39, will feature options like bracelet-making as well as sensory-friendly play spaces. Attendees can also participate in shows presented by the Da Vinci Science Center and the Wildlands Conservancy, or learn new recipes from Levy Restaurants’ Chef Julie. Don’t worry about your littles staying up past their bedtime! The illuminated, 400-pound Peeps Chick Drop takes place at 5:35 p.m., followed by a fireworks display.
In addition to sweet Peeps treats, families can dine with food vendors like Pat’s Pizza & Bistro Trailer, Travelin’ Toms Coffee Truck, Levy Restaurants, and Duck Donuts.
Kids ages 12 and under will receive a complimentary Peeps-themed tote to collect treats throughout the festival, including limited-edition Peeps merchandise and holiday goodies. Tickets cost $5 per guest, excluding fees, and kids ages 1 and under are admitted free of charge. The gates open at 2:45 p.m., so families can play away after naptime.
