If you can’t wait until April to press start on The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, don’t worry! JAKKS Pacific is launching a new line of playsets, action figures, and more that take playtime to a whole new level.
Following the success of its 2023 The Super Mario Bros. Movie toy line, JAKKS Pacific has once again scored the title of master toy licensee for the series’ latest installment. The first toys are available for preorder now at Walmart and Smyths Toys, with the collection’s official launch slated for Feb. 20.

The collection will feature an assortment of 5-inch-scale action figures, including Mario, Luma, Yoshi, Rosalina, and Bowser Jr., as well as exclusive Luigi and Wonder Bowser Jr. figures only available at Target. Kids can also collect their favorite characters as 1.5-inch minifigures, jumbo posable plush, pull-back kart racers, and even as glow-in-the-dark yo-yos.

One highlight of the collection is the Yoshi Egg playset. Kids can crack into the green, egg-shaped case to discover two different scenes to explore, each inspired by Yoshi’s journey to becoming Mario’s pal. The New York side features a history museum, complete with a crumbling dinosaur skeleton. Travel through the doorway to the Dry Outpost side, which features a warp pipe, button-activated bats, and a pop-up Pokey. Rounding out the set is a 1.5-inch Yoshi figure, alongside an exclusive Fire Mario.

Other playsets include the Gateway Galaxy Diorama, featuring clear transit tubes for figures to ride on, and the Deluxe Bowser Castle. Standing three stories tall, this set recreates Bowser’s shrunken castle from the trailer in dastardly detail, from his bonsai trees and playable piano to a heat-activated art gallery. Kids can also unstack the three stories and arrange them side by side, perfect for display and play.

As a playtime power-up, Walmart will also feature two exclusive Super Mario Galaxy products: Mario and Luigi pull-back motorcycles and an exclusive Bowser Jr. 5-inch action figure. The tiny terror features wears an all-new mask and rides his Clown Car, which includes a spinning propeller, removable handle, and punching arms that swing with the press of a button. The set also includes a sheet of water-reveal stickers and a foam paintbrush, adding an extra level to playtime.
These Super Mario Galaxy toys will launch Feb. 20, but families can secure their favorites now at Smyths Toys and on walmart.com.
