Ryan Reynolds has confirmed that he sees Deadpool primarily as a supporting character moving forward in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While he is currently writing a new project involving the Merc with a Mouth, he stated in a Today interview that he does not intend to “center him again” as the primary lead. Reynolds says he has “stuff written” for Deadpool�s return, but believes the character “is a guy who is great in a group” and works better when interacting with an ensemble.
