WHAT IT IS
Tweens can embark on a great expedition from the comforts of home by playing Sir Ocelot’s Cave. This tabletop title from Lookout Games is a two-player adventure about collecting gemstones in a cave. Taking on the role of Sir Ocelot or Professor Penguin, players will use their tools and companion to find the most gems. In the end, the player with the most valuable collection of gemstones wins the game.

WHY WE LOVE IT
Collecting gemstones adds an exciting thrill to the game, but the real fun comes when players test their wits. In Sir Ocelot’s Cave, tweens take turns placing tool tokens outside around the cave perimeter. Kids ages 8 and up will have to think carefully, as they can only earn gems when the tokens intersect between three different tools in three different directions. The game also includes companion tokens and amethyst gems, which can give a player critical advantages over their opponent. And, while tweens learn about cause and effect, they’ll engage in friendly competition with their friends, creating great opportunities for social play.
