Marvel Studios unveiled the first extensive trailer for Avengers: Doomsday during Disney�s presentation at CinemaCon 2026 in Las Vegas. The footage featured the first extensive look at Robert Downey Jr. in full armor, including a scene where his face appears scarred. And in a major reveal, Chris Evans reappears as Steve Rogers, sporting longer hair and a beard (Nomad?). In a climactic moment, he reaches for Mjolnir, which leaves Thor’s hand to come to his, echoing their Avengers: Endgame team-up.
The trailer opens with a shot of the ruins of Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. We get to see several, multiversal crossovers including Gambit fighting Shang-Chi, Mystique (Rebecca Romijn version) shapeshifting into Yelena Belova, and The Fantastic Four meeting with several Avengers. We also get to see the power of Doom as he stops an attack from Thor.
The footage shown at CinemaCon was exclusive to the event and is not expected to be released publicly for several weeks or months.
