In today’s action figures scene, Hasbro remains at the forefront, with multiple notable releases and themes spanning its diverse product lines. From Transformers’ novelty concepts to continuing the deep dive into the G.I. Joe legacy, it’s a diverse time for collectors.
Transformers’ Fossilizers and Cross-Franchise Collaborations
Hasbro’s Transformers line continues to innovate with the War For Cybertron: Kingdom series introducing intriguing new factions such as the Fossilizers. One such figure, the Core Class Fossilizer Vertebreak, is part of this push. As reported by Shes Fantastic, these figures stand out for their ability to be deconstructed and combined with other models, keeping the play experience fresh.
Demonstrating the brand’s flexibility and penchant for creative crossovers, Mattel has introduced a Masters of the Universe x Transformers hybrid figure, featuring a Starscream Armor Scare Glow. While not directly from Hasbro, this figure underlines the enduring appeal of collaborative action figure lines. According to Action Figure Barbecue, this crossover taps into nostalgia for fans of both franchises from the 1980s.
Marvel Legends Brings Spider-Gwen to the Forefront
Marvel’s cinematic multiverse has been a boon for Hasbro’s Marvel Legends series, with Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse bringing renewed attention to beloved characters like Spider-Gwen. As Shes Fantastic recounts, this figure serves both as a collectible and a personal memento for fans with fond memories of its related movie era. The demand for such figures remains high, given the character’s popularity among diverse audiences.
G.I. Joe: Classified Series Continues Its Evolution
The G.I. Joe: Classified Series continues to generate interest with its detailed and varied roster. A review by Action Figure Barbecue highlights Zartan from the Ninja Force sub-line, a character known for his mastery of disguise and distinctive neon aesthetics, a nod to the early ’90s. Furthermore, the series is expanding with the inclusion of Airtight, the CBR warfare specialist, who rounds off the 1985 single-carded figures lineup, marking a significant milestone for collectors.
Seasonal and Special Edition Star Wars Figures
Hasbro’s creativity isn’t just confined to established lore; it also explores festive themes through Star Wars characters, with the 2026 Black Series Halloween Togruta edition being the latest. According to Shes Fantastic, these holiday-themed figures bring diversity and playfulness to collections. The inclusion of female characters and holiday variants suggests Hasbro’s willingness to diversify offerings and appeal to a broader audience.
Overall, Hasbro’s strategic releases across its lines showcase a commitment to diversity and collector engagement, solidifying its position as a leader in the action figures market for 2026.
