DC Blokees unveils new Justice League figures, Hasbro teases Street Fighter line, and Marvel Legends Wave 3 hits pre-orders.
This week in the action figures domain presents a mixed bag of updates and releases, with DC Blokees expanding their roster and several notable announcements from Hasbro.
DC Blokees Introduces New Justice League Figures
The DC Blokees line continues to grow, adding new Justice League character figures for collectors. As covered by Shes Fantastic, the latest wave includes a new Wonder Woman figure. This is tied back to Gal Gadot’s iconic portrayal in the DCEU, and while fans anticipate future casting choices under James Gunn’s guidance, these figures keep Gadot’s version in focus.
Additionally, another report highlights the introduction of Mera to the Blokees lineup. While her presence in film was less prominent, the character has seen a surprisingly limited number of action figures outside of her cinematic appearances. Collectors looking to flesh out their DC collections with more female superheroes may find these new figures worthwhile.
Hasbro Teases New Street Fighter Figures
Toyark reports on Hasbro’s upcoming Street Fighter action figures, coinciding with the release of a new movie in the franchise. This wave will feature popular characters such as Guile, M. Bison, Dark Ryu, and Blanka. As Hasbro continues to invest in nostalgic franchises, these figures are likely to appeal to both old fans and a new generation of collectors.
Marvel Legends Mini Comics Wave 3 Available for Pre-Order
The third wave of Marvel Legends Mini Comics is now up for pre-order, featuring an eclectic mix of characters. As covered by Marvel Toy News, figures in this wave include Elektra, Acroyear, Earth-X Captain America, Hawkeye, Doom Suit Spider-Man, and Elsa Bloodstone. With fewer non-exclusive mass release Marvel Legends figures available, each new wave becomes particularly significant for collectors seeking fresh entries in their collections.
Other Notables: Re-Releases and Unique Packs
NECA has announced a re-release of their The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning – Leatherface 7″ Scale Figure, as mentioned in Toyark. This re-release comes as part of NECA’s strategy to tap into nostalgia for their early 2000s offerings, though collectors hoping for major updates might find this iteration disappointingly similar to the original.
Finally, Mattel Creations has launched a unique WWE Elite Collection 2-Pack featuring Liv Morgan and Chucky from her appearance on the TV series, which Toyark highlights. This pivot to unique collaborations and crossover figures signals a trend in leveraging pop culture moments to create action figure lines that blend interest from diverse fan bases.
